For a taste of the Cuban chocolate – which no wonder – is “the best chocolate in the world” you should go to Museo del Chocolate in Old Havana. It’s not as much a museum as it’s a chocolate store. You can sit down and order some bonbons or, and you should definitely try this, a cup of cold chocolate for 1 CUC. This cold chocolate It’s one of the few tasty things that you can have in Cuba.
A box of bonbons will set you back about 2 CUC and for the more elaborate chocolate figurines like a car, a duck, or a frog, they might charge you up to 10 CUC. The chocolate in it isn’t good though, it’s comparable to bottom shelf gas station stuff. That said, if you have some Cuban friends you should buy them some, they’ll appreciate it more.
